75th St Fresh Foods Market reduces and eliminates one of the social determinants of health, food & nutrition by providing free, healthy food choices weekly that are not accessible or affordable in the local community, Greater grand Crossing and Chatham (60619), where there is not one “big chain grocery store.”
75th St Fresh Foods Market provides a “shopper’s choice experience” to select from a wide variety of healthy food options while also serving as an opportunity to engage the local community on other services to reduce and eliminate other social detriments of health: employment services, career training and access to healthcare. Hundreds of households are served weekly, receiving approximately 35lbs of food: fruit, vegetables, dairy, grain, meat, vitamins, beverages and other items.
75th St Fresh Foods Market not only provides healthy food options to families while allowing money to be saved but also allows for families to experience healthy, balanced meals to improve physical health, reducing the likeliness of sickness and disease. All food is shared for FREE without consideration of income, citizenship, residency or identification – we have NO OBSTACLES and welcome everyone. As a community-based organization, we serve the entire community and not just a small population (everyone can use kindness).

Criminal history records are public information in Illinois. Some employers, landlords, schools and other entities are legally able to make decisions based on a criminal history that includes convictions. The majority of adult criminal history records can be removed from public searches through either expungement or sealing. It is important to know that there is no automatic expungement of adult arrest or criminal court records in Illinois. Even if you were only arrested and never charged or your case was later dismissed or you were found not guilty, those records all exist until you actively seek to expunge them.
Under specific circumstances, Illinois law allows felony, misdemeanor, or municipal ordinance violation records in Criminal and Traffic cases to be expunged or sealed. If you qualify, your records will either be expunged or expunged and sealed by law enforcement agencies and will be sealed by the Clerk's Office. "Expunged" records are destroyed. "Sealed" records are closed and restricted from public access but are not destroyed.
